Coming up this Monday, October 24th, Teefury will unveil my "The Undead Gentleman's" game t-shirt. Available for 24 hours only at $10 (plus about $2.50 shipping), this design is inspired by one of my all-time favorite movies, "Shaun of the Dead", playing off of the location where the movie takes place and inspired by a recent sketch that I did in the book of a friend who wanted artists to create fictional sports team logos...

Wonder Woman Day, 2011

Hey all,
This is a sketch that I did for my friend Stacy over at Comics Fusion in Flemington, NJ, as a part of Wonder Woman Day/Super Hero Weekend happening October 30th at various locations across the country, helping to raise money for domestic abuse services across the country. Many artists donate sketches to help raise money during an art auction. Many, many artists participate each year, with some well known names helping to reach goals to help out some very important programs that help out folks in need...
For more info, please check out http://www.womenofwonderday.com/ and place a bid on some awesome art.

"Down at the Barcade..."

This is my submission to Gallery 1988's "Old School Video Game Art Show", taking place this Friday, September 16th at:
Gallery 1988: Venice
214 Pier Avenue
Santa Monica, CA 90405
http://nineteeneightyeight.com/

I decided to try and show what video game characters might do after a long hard day of fighting off a gorilla, chasing after a hungry yellow sphere, our endlessly pouring beers for thirsty customers (bartenders are never off-duty...). This was done using Micron ink pens and Prismacolor markers. The original piece and a very small edition of prints will be available at the show, and on the gallery's website the day after the show.

Garbage Pail Kids Tribute @ Gallery 1988

Hey All,
This here is my latest creation, submitted for your approval to the Garbage Pail Kids Tribute show taking place at Gallery 1988: Melrose this Friday night in Los Angeles. The idea was this: Select an existing GPK and reinterperate it in my own style. Being a fan of tattoos and it's culture, my choice was made for me. Sponsored by The Hundreds and the creators of GPK, Topps trading cards, the show promises to be a great event with tons of great art and other surprises...

Crazy 4 Cult 5, July 8th @ Gallery 1988

Hey all,
Taking a moment to show off my submission for this year's Crazy 4 Cult 5 taking place on Friday July 8th at Gallery 1988: Melrose in Los Angeles. My piece is based on Stanley Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange" using familiar elements and terms/phrases from the film and incorporating them into a tattoo inspired design. If you're in the Los Angeles area, this weekend, stop by and "viddy well" all of the wonderful art. It's "real horrorshow"...

The print is an 18" x 24" 3-color screen print, a print run of 100, and available the night of the show at the gallery and the next day on the website (http://gallery1988.com/) for $35.

Also, the following Sunday will be a signing of the "Crazy 4 Cult" art book, again at the Melrose location of Gallery 1988. The book showcases many of the pieces from the 4 previous Crazy 4 Cult events, including a forward by Kevin Smith. Stop by, and tell 'em "Derby sent ya"!

3B Show tonight at Gallery 1988 Venice!

Gallery 1988 and the Autumn Society of Philadelphia are proud to present the " 3B Show: Beetlejuice, Back to the Future, and Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure/Bogus Journey" tonight at Gallery 1988 Venice, located at 214 Pier Avenue in beautiful Santa Monica, CA. This 12" x 24" 3-color screen print as part of a tryptic with fellow Deviant artists "Strongstuff" (Tom Whalen) [link] and "Montygog" (Dave Perillo) [link] who based their posters on Beetlejuice and Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, respectively. We, as the "STD Collective", decided to create poster advertisements reflecting on specific aspects of each film. I choose one of the most important plot points to the first Back to the Future film, the "Enchantment under the Sea" dance. If you're in LA tonight, stop by the gallery to pick up a copy, if you are so inclined. If any prints are left after the show, they will be available on line at Gallery 1988's website: [link] within the next day or two. Thanks for lookin'!

You've Got Red on You...

Another pop-culture inspired tattoo design, professing my love for one of the greatest films of out time, period. Not greatest zombie film, or greatest comedy, just A GREAT FILM! Well written, directed and acted, SOTD should stand as a testament to good film-making. Plus, it's got zombies....

Han Shot First...

Another pop culture-inspired tattoo design, this time addressing a point of contention between long time fans of "A galaxy far, far away" and the remastered version of a film having to do with "Stellar Warfare"...

A slightly modified version of this design will be offered as a shirt by TeeFury.com on February 15th, 2011. More details to follow.... STAY TUNED!!!

"Is This Thing On?" Show at Gallery 1988 tonight (1/7)!

Hey all,
Just wanted to let you know about tonight's show entitled: "IS THIS THING ON?
1OO artists take aim at funny people" taking place tonight (1/7/11) at Gallery 1988: Melrose. Having grown up in the 70's and 80's, Cheech and Chong played a big part in my formative years due to the C&C 8-track tapes (yes, I'm that old) that my older siblings had, and that I was much too young to be listening to at the time.
